I Beat The Cab Driver!
“Just got out of a cab where the cabbie insisted his credit card machine wasn’t working. I stayed in the cab while he kept pretending to hit the correct button, but of course I noticed he was missing the “cab ride finished” button and hitting all the rest.
I then said “I know you’re trying to trick me and I’m not getting out of the cab until you stop.” He got really frustrated and slammed his hand into the the meter, which ended the fare and brought up the credit card prompt.
I then paid with me credit card and got out of the cab. Don’t put up with cab drivers telling you their credit card machines are broken!!”
Nice job. I’m too much of a scaredy cat to do that.
